With One Voice Movie Launch
The Challenge
With One Voice is a documentary created and produced by the non-profit organization Forest Way, Inc. The groundbreaking documentary is a series of interviews of the world’s great religious mystics who all share the same belief that there is one unifying thread that links and transcends all peoples and all religions, dissolving their apparent differences. The movie is being distributed nationally and internationally and is generating much praise and interest in film festivals across the country. The movie was a first for the company and they were seeking a creative agency that would help them establish a strong brand for their film from every aspect. Forest Way first approached Okay Yellow in May of 2009 to design the DVD case and DVD for the film, which later flowered into a Media Kit, Soundtrack CD Case and CD design, Movie Poster, Discussion Guide and Website design.
The Solution
We began the branding process with the creation of the DVD Case. After concepting 3 unique designs that we felt encompassed the spiritual nature and depth of the film, our designs were taken to a series of focus groups where the company gathered valuable feedback. There was a clear front-runner coming out of this research, and that is the design concept you see here. Some of the comments we received were “Elegant” and “Stunning”. Based on the feedback received during the research, the concept was further refined to what it is today and since has become an integral part of the success of this captivating film. This design also marked the jumping off point for all components involved as from it they were all conceived.

The Forest Way is a 501c3 non-profit organization which conducts spiritual retreats and training programs focused on insight meditation, cultivating the emotions of love, compassion, and serenity, and experiencing the non-dual dimension of life. Their first feature film, With One Voice, was released in April of 2009. They are currently working on 3 new films also featuring the testimonials of some of the world’s most prominent spiritual mystics.
