Once we understood the concept in full, we did a significant amount of research to determine how to position RentalSpot among its competitors.  We worked closely with the founders to come up with a name that was smart, memorable, easy to type, SEO friendly, and communicated the company’s offerings. Once the name RentalSpot was chosen, the logo and color palette was designed to be very friendly and engaging while also communicating that RentalSpot is fast and simple.

Next, after establishing a strong brand, we researched common practices amongst potential competitors and listing sites in different industries.  We determined features and functions that added value to the users’ (owners’ and renters’) experience, as well as common pitfalls. We used all our findings to establish goals and construct wire frames for the site. These wire frames served as a blue print for our design and helped us to put together a website that is modern, clean, and offers a superior user experience.
